Idle wheel bearing
Sealed heavy-duty idle bearings turn the drum on machine weight alone, with no daily greasing. They carry the compaction load shift after shift without a servicing stop mid-run.
Customisable
Drum width, drum count and pad style are built to order. Have the pads removed for a smooth drum finish, or match the width exactly to the trench you are backfilling.
Low maintenance design
Sealed axles and bearings keep grit out. Mud scrapers and guards clear clay and cohesive soil from the drum as it turns, so the wheel keeps compacting instead of clogging.

Hydraulic Grab
The hydraulic grab is better than any Christmas pressi. I use it on my farm dealing with trees and firewood. Also pipe laying. Try lifting 450 dia 12m long HDPE pipe and the grab fits perfect. OK the little Kubota knows it got a big fish on the hook but I can do what I can't do otherwise. Great choice - by me, great product thanks to you.

Hydraulic Grab & Auger
Great company to deal with. Excellent quality hydraulic grab attachment. The company was so nice to deal with I placed another order for a different attachment. Also kept me updated on my order from start to finish. Received my new auger and it is an amazing piece of kit coupled with a 350mm auger and I got the 1m extension also. Had a bit of time to test everything out and the grab is great for moving posts rocks and anything else to save my back. The auger has plenty of torque and because I'm in a bit of rocky ground I got the combination auger and it's busting through it quite well. Still very happy with my order and Aussie Buckets support and after sale check in just to see how everything is going.

What is an excavator compaction wheel? An excavator compaction wheel is an attachment with padded drums that compact backfill in lifts as the machine rolls it along a trench. It is also called a trench compaction wheel or sheepsfoot wheel. Aussie Buckets compaction wheels cover 1 to 50 tonne machines across fourteen builds.
Compaction wheel or vibrating plate: which do I need? A compaction wheel rolls through backfill in lifts and covers long trench runs fastest. A vibrating plate compacts a flat foot against the surface and suits trench bases, pipe surrounds and finished formation. Wheel for bulk backfill volume, plate for the base and the finish. Many contractors run both.
Can a compaction wheel compact a trench without anyone entering it? Yes, and that is the main reason contractors use one. The wheel compacts from the machine, so backfill is brought up in lifts without anyone standing in an open trench. That removes the confined space exposure that hand compaction in a trench creates.
Does a compaction wheel need hydraulics? No. The wheel is driven by the machine's own boom force rolling it through the material, so there is no auxiliary circuit, no motor and no hoses. That removes the most common source of downtime on a compaction attachment and lets it go on any machine in the fleet.
