Whether you know it as a single shank ripper, tyne or rock ripper, this is built from 400-grade steel with 345 wear plating on the high-contact points. Our ripper concentrates the machine's breakout force into one high-penetration tooth, shipped pre-fitted with two pins for direct mounting and quick hitches.
Features
High strength reinforced steel construction & plating
A 400-grade steel body with 345 wear-resistant plating on the high-contact points absorbs the shock loads of ripping, so the base metal lasts while the tooth does the wearing.
Improved shank geometry
The shank is profiled to enter the ground steeply and move through it cleanly, so it penetrates instead of riding over hard surfaces and puts less strain on the machine.
Replaceable high penetration tooth
The tooth bolts on, pre-fitted from new, and is renewed as a consumable. Tooth wear never decides the life of the ripper, and a change takes minutes on site.

Hydraulic Grab
The hydraulic grab is better than any Christmas pressi. I use it on my farm dealing with trees and firewood. Also pipe laying. Try lifting 450 dia 12m long HDPE pipe and the grab fits perfect. OK the little Kubota knows it got a big fish on the hook but I can do what I can't do otherwise. Great choice - by me, great product thanks to you.

Hydraulic Grab & Auger
Great company to deal with. Excellent quality hydraulic grab attachment. The company was so nice to deal with I placed another order for a different attachment. Also kept me updated on my order from start to finish. Received my new auger and it is an amazing piece of kit coupled with a 350mm auger and I got the 1m extension also. Had a bit of time to test everything out and the grab is great for moving posts rocks and anything else to save my back. The auger has plenty of torque and because I'm in a bit of rocky ground I got the combination auger and it's busting through it quite well. Still very happy with my order and Aussie Buckets support and after sale check in just to see how everything is going.

What is an excavator ripper attachment? An excavator ripper is a single-tyne attachment that fractures hard ground by driving a high-penetration tooth into it and pulling. It is also called a shank ripper or tyne. Aussie Buckets rippers cover 1 to 65 tonne machines across ten builds, with tyne thickness and height scaled to machine breakout force.
When should I use a ripper instead of a bucket? When the bucket has stopped filling. Compacted fill, shale, seamed rock and frost-bound ground will stall a bucket while a ripper still enters, and ripping first then loading with the bucket is usually faster than forcing the bucket through. It also saves the bucket's teeth and corners.
Ripper or rock breaker: which do I need? A ripper fractures ground that has seams or bedding to exploit, and it is quicker and cheaper where it works. A rock breaker fractures by impact and is the tool for solid unbroken rock and concrete where a ripper will not enter. Try the ripper first; the material tells you quickly.
Ripper or vibrating ripper: what is the difference? A standard ripper uses the machine's breakout force alone and suits fill, shale and seamed rock on any machine from 1 tonne up. A vibrating ripper adds a hydraulic vibration unit to the tyne for harder, massive rock on mining and quarry carriers. Seamed ground takes the ripper; solid rock takes the vibrating ripper.
Can you replace the tooth on a ripper? Yes. The high-penetration tooth bolts on rather than being welded to the shank, so it is renewed as a consumable. That is what stops tooth wear deciding the life of the whole attachment, and it is why the shank carries upgraded wear protection above the tooth.
