The general body assembly features high abrasion resistant NM500 steel which has a hardness range of around 470-540 HBW making it ideal for working in and around demanding demolition environments. We use ZGMn18CR2 a austenitic manganese steel for the upper and lower jaw plates due to its ability to work-harden during operation, it has proven to be versatile, and works well in a majority of applications. Pins are constructed from high-quality carbon Steel.
