Arguably the most important step in the initial stages of your order is to correctly measure up and provide to us your pin dimensions. Despite us have many OEM specifications on file, we will ask you to verify and take measurements yourself so that we can ensure correct fitment of your order. I think we all know what will happen if the incorrect dimensions are provided, so lets do our best to avoid that!

Measuring Excavator Bucket Pin Dimensions

There are three key pieces of information we will need:

  1. Pin Diameter;

  2. Distance between pin centres;

  3. Ear to Ear distance (width).

Step 1

Pick up a tape measure (2nd preference) and / or Vernier calliper (1st preference).

Step 2

Go to an existing bucket or attachment that fits nicely onto the dipper arm or quick hitch of the excavator.

Step 3

Take measurements A, B, C, D, E as accurately as possible

NOTE: In most cases A = B, and C = D but in some cases they may be different and it's best to double check.

TIP: Pin diameter measurements are generally in 5mm increments, e.g.it is common for pins to be 25mm, 30mm, 35mm etc. This is not always the case though, so please contact us if you are unsure.

Step 4

Let a member of our sales team know your A, B, C, D, E measurements by calling 1300 295 369 or by emailing them to sales@aussiebuckets.com If sending by email, please ensure to state your invoice number (if you have one) or provide the name your enquiry or order was placed under.

Please do not send us photos of a tape measure without also writing the measurements in the email.
